Okay, I tried that automatic drabble thing, and got this.....
Joey finished packing. Ever since Jack, her own true love, had been lost at sea, Joey had been bouncy.
There was nothing left for her anymore, nothing bounced her, all was shiny. So today, Valentine's Day, she was going up a tree to become an excited electric toothbrush.
Just then, there was a jubilant knock at the door. Joey opened it and stood there merrily for a moment, before falling to the floor in a swoon and bruising her knee.
When Joey came to, Jack was holding her finger and looking silvery. "My love," Jack said shyly, "I'm sorry for the scared shock. I've been shipwrecked on a purple island for the last ten years, living like an elephant wearing a feather boa. I was only rescued last week." He paused. "I lost my belly button in the wreck. Can you still love me?"
Joey could hardly believe her Jack had returned. "I will always love you, belly button or no belly button. Besides, you can cover it up with a feather."
They embraced gently and vowed to never be parted again.
And all was happy.
